The Foundation
The story of Wood Brothers begins with Donald and Richard Wood, true sons of the South and community pillars in Green Pond, SC. In 1964, they opened the original Wood Brothers General Store with one goal — to serve neighbors not just with goods, but with honesty, warmth, and heart.
Richard and Donald believed in the value of hard work, good food, and handcrafted quality. Their legacy lives on today — reimagining the general store as both a hub for community and a celebration of Southern excellence.
